Guess what month it was in 1970...  A photo taken during my first mission. "Spill the wine" was a hot song then and it reminded us of our ordeal. Thanks Austin... | Counselor Pics (Jan-July 1971) Sun, Sand and Surf  Sgt. Miller in the doorway. He was the NCO at Project Help where I worked as a counselor. He took excellent care of us.  Sitting back basking... We really had it made. I had a choice... Stay in the Bush and make Sgt., or, take this rear job. I made the right decision!  Hey, I can almost remember what it was like to be in shape!  Three of the five members of Project Help. I am on the left, then Stowe and West.  I did do some work while at Project Help. "Some" is the operative word! Did I mention it was a cush job?  My wife wishes I still looked like this! So do I! PT anyone?  I spent a fair amount of time at the beach. The South China Sea was truly beautiful. I even tried swimming home once. Another story! |
